Jewelry to Wear with Colorful Kaftans

Style Guide

30·03·2023

Embellished kaftans, vibrant silks and intricate beading call for a rainbow of gemstone jewelry to finish your Ramadan look this year.

With the festive season underway, we're looking to jewel colors for kaftans and traditional dress, to see us all the way to Eid. If bold and bright are your watchwords, carefully considered jewelry can make or break your look: well-chosen colored gems will see bright shades pop, but pick the wrong hues and you will watch as they lose their vibrancy.

Focus on above-table dressing and look to dress rings, statement necklaces and bold earrings; all presentation pieces that are perfect for the biggest cultural runway of the year. Our buyer selects jewelry to take you from your first Iftar through to the Eid celebrations, and beyond.

Green

Deep green calls for yellow gold, and can be beautifully balanced by the intense pinks and peaches of spinels and tourmalines. Or, carry the color through, and pair emeralds with gold for a simple and impactful palette.

Vary patterns and textures with gold rings by Anita Ko stacked across the hands, and reach for Marie Lichtenberg's coco-finish brushed gold and diamond locket bangles for wrists. Finish with tone-on-tone emeralds in the shape of Shay's Emerald Illusion Y Drop necklace.

White

Cool-toned precious metals and icy white diamonds create an arresting look with a white kaftan and metallic embroidery.

Stack Shay's pave link bracelets up the arm, and layer the Diamond Constellation lariat necklace, with its sizable drop, with the Large Triangle Eternity Choker and Paloma chokers to create depth; both by Anita Ko.

Ears call for white diamonds stacked up the cartilage, with Shay's Connect the Dots ear cuff offset with the Portrait earrings in yellow topaz. Finish with Shay's pave baguette pinky ring.

Orange

Flattering on many skin tones, warm shades ranging from saffron to burnt orange can take bold accents with rubies, deep aubergine tourmaline, turquoise, and even blackened metals and enamel.

Layer the Knock on Wood locket and Ebony Eye scapular necklaces by Marie Lichtenberg, with the sparkle of Anita Ko's diamond Zoe necklace for an eye-catching stack. Wrists can take plenty of chain with this look, so mix and match Lizzie Mandler's signature Knife Edge links with pavé accents, in varying sizes.

Pink

Shades of blue sapphires, gold and silver all work as beautiful accents to pinks ranging from dusty roses to rich magenta, or choose warm-toned stones for color continuation.

Rainbow K's mixed metal and diamond pavé Piercing earrings will make a statement layered up the ear, while the show-stopping ruby and diamond Empress and Royale rings make for tabletop conversation starters.
